Turku Big Ships Regatta in 3D

Turku Big Ships Regatta in 3D

Sep 13, 2011

One of the most significant events for a photographer in Finland is the annual Turku tall ships regatta. Lots of sailing ships are arriving to Turku from all over the world, available for sensors of your digital SLR camera. Big, small and huge ships are the perfect target to snap some stereo pictures too. So, on the last weekend of this summer we boarded our red car and headed to the road number 1 from Helsinki to Turku.

The day wasn’t quite as sunny as we expected. Prior to the city it started raining, and we stopped to get some rain coats. Strong sea wind and rain are not the best friends of stereo photography. Nevertheless at some point the rain stopped, and I snapped some pictures.

All photos are available in two formats – full color side-by-side (crossvew) and half-color anaglyph.

Set on Flickr with side-by-side pictures (31 photos): http://www.flickr.com/photos/karismafilms/sets/72157627625417800/
Set on Flickr with red-cyan anaglyphs (29 photos): http://www.flickr.com/photos/karismafilms/sets/72157627508390921/

Or you can watch the anaglyphs right here. Put your red-cyan 3d glasses on.
