Stereotanks from Parola

Stereotanks from Parola

Jul 21, 2010

By tanks I mean those huge heavy metal things that has lots of firepower and can destroy pretty much anything on the ground. There is a fantastic place, hidden just next to the road number 3; about 15 kilometers from Hämeenlinna. It is called Parola Armory museum. And it’s all about tanks. Got to say, haven’t been expecting much. The artillery museum in Saint-Petersburg some time ago did blown my mind, and is still number one from anything I’ve seen by the variety of the killing war machines. Still Parola got a very nice collection of tanks, starting from the first WW. There are two huge hangars with more old – and more sensitive stuff. Rest of the collection is placed on the hills. Got lucky with the timing – local soldiers were watching the tanks too, providing pictures with a nice authentic background.

As usual there are two sets of pictures – full color side-by-side and half-color anaglyph. Treat yourself:

Or you can watch pictures here. Enjoy!
