Go Pro Hero 3D

Apr 8, 2011

Go Pro now offers a 3D option for their acclaimed Hero HD camera. Basically it is a solution to mount two Go Pro Hero cameras side by side, plus they solve the synchronization by providing a special software and cable to connect both cameras. You still have to select shooting mode manually on both cameras, but you will have a single button to start / stop recording in perfect sync.

The 100$ package includes:

  • 3D Waterproof Housing
  • 3D Waterproof Door + Skeleton Door
  • 3D Hero Sync Cable
  • 3D Anaglyph Glasses (3 pairs)
  • Helmet Front Mount
  • 2 Flat + 2 Curved Adhesive Mounts
  • Assorted Mounting Hardware
  • GoPro CineForm Studio software

I have two GoPro Hero3 “Silver” cameras (Xmas presents) and I’m waiting for the 3D system that will fit those. It’s rumoured to be out at the end of February / early March. I was also given the “3D Hero System”…..which is only for Hero2 cameras…..which was disappointing as the person who gave it to me didn’t realise this as the name of the product is “3D Hero System”…..not “3D Hero2 System”
